Adile Naşit was a Turkish actress, best known from the children's program called Uykudan Önce (Before Sleep), where she performed different tales. Generations rose listening to the adorable voice of Adile Naşit, and her storytelling became one of indispensable parts of every child’s life.
Unfortunately, the actress passed away in 1987 at the age of 57. Led by an idea to attract children's attention to the project and at the same time make it touching for older generations, LC Waikiki decided to “revive” Adile Naşit so that she could appeal to the society with a new relevant message.
The Challenge

LC Waikiki decided to “revive” Adile Naşit so that she could appeal to the society with a new relevant message.
The idea was to resurrect the voice of the famous actress so that she could “tell” the "Nature love tale", aimed at educating children on environmental problems and how to reduce the negative human impact on the environment.
To address many generations and mobilize them for action with the voice of a famous storyteller, our technology came to service.
The Solution
Respeecher speech synthesis technology allows us to bring voices of the past back to life.
The technology works as follows:
- An artificial intelligence-based algorithm analyzes the original voice and a source voice (speaker that would drive the system further).
- The system then learns the unique features of the voices, precisely those that make the voice stand out by itself.
- Then, a source speaker records dialog, and our system will reproduce it using the voice of the desired person, all while preserving the natural features of the transformed dialog.
In order to create an authentic vocal model of Adile Naşit, Respeecher took one hour of original vocal recordings of the actress. By analyzing older recordings, Respeecher made it possible to synthesize audio content that sounds exactly like her.
The Result
As a result, we were able to create an emotional speech that is indistinguishable from the original voice of Adile Naşit. The first 24 seconds of the tale called "Nature love tale" are already on YouTube. The tale can be also accessed via QR codes on the cargo boxes or via the video link.
This is not the first time Respeecher has resurrected the voice of a famous person. For example, we resurrected Manuel Rivera Morales’ voice for the Olympic Games and Vince Lombardi’s voice for the 2021 Super Bowl LV.
As for our role in this project, we are always happy to work with iconic voices of the past. It helps to create a connection between generations separated by time.
