Will AI replace humans?

Our new "Ethics in AI" video series was created to discuss the most pressing ethical questions surrounding artificial intelligence.

In its first episode, Dmytro Bielievtsov, Respeecher's CTO, unpacks the potential and pitfalls of generative AI and explores how it impacts voice actors and creative industries:

Watch the video to learn what generative AI is, what it's capable of, why we must control the data it is trained on, and, of course, whether or not GenAI will replace humans.

Garth Ancier is Respeecher's new advisor

We're opening 2025 with exciting news: Garth Ancier, producer and media executive, has joined Respeecher as an advisor.

Garth Ancier is a media executive who shaped major networks. He is among the few individuals to hold senior programming positions at three major U.S. broadcast networks: NBC, Fox, and The WB. Garth helped launch Fox Broadcasting with shows like The Simpsons and In Living Color. As the Head of Programming at Fox, The WB, and Turner Broadcasting and President of Disney Television, Mr. Ancier significantly influenced programming and network strategies.

Mr. Ancier developed iconic TV shows, including 7th Heaven, Dawson's Creek, Buffy the Vampire Slayer at The WB, as well as The West Wing and Law & Order: SVU at NBC. His work on culturally significant series has had a lasting impact on television history.

Always staying at the forefront of progress, Mr. Ancier introduced Stereo audio at NBC in the '80s, HD video to The WB and BBC in the '90s, going tapeless in the '00s, and, later, streaming at Warner Bros., BBC, and Intel Media.

Mr. Ancier's achievements include increasing BBC Worldwide America's profits by 78%. As a Senior Television Consultant to the Democratic National Committee, he introduced innovative formats, such as video walls, to the 1992 Democratic Convention. One of few people to program three major U.S. networks, Mr. Ancier embodies entrepreneurial leadership in the media industry.

His extensive expertise will be invaluable as he advises Respeecher on its mission to revolutionize voice cloning technology.

Protecting the voices of public figures with secure AI voice cloning

Last month, a long-anticipated interview with Volodymyr Zelensky, the president of Ukraine, was released by Lex Fridman.

The interviewer used AI dubbing. While this did help reach wider audiences, it also caused an online debate on the quality and accuracy of AI-powered voiceovers.

As we at Respeecher support the ethical development and use of AI voice technology, we took this opportunity to remind you about the key rules of safe and ethical voice cloning that are especially important for public figures such as politicians, athletes, and celebrities.
